Harrington Art Show 2017

Harrington's
2017 Annual Art Show

This is Mr LaCava's last Harrington Art Show!
He has attended every school and town-wide show since he began in Chelmsford.
I'll surely miss his support as he will be moving on to a new position as Fine and Performing Arts Director in Wellesley!

Thank You!

I'd like to thank our Harrington PTO, led by Jen Perry, and our wonderful Harrington community including Mrs. Gurly, for supporting the art program this year. My appreciation goes to our CHS students, Autumn, Sophia, and Ana, for their time and creativity and the many parents and colleagues who assisted with the annual art show, though I'm reluctant to mention everyone by name for fear of missing someone. I'm especially grateful to Erin Mcalonie (Luke) for being my unofficial art show coordinator, who knew what needed to be done, when and who to call, in order to make our art show successful. I've been spoiled for years by her dedicated assistance and will miss her and many other PTO members who's children have just graduated to middle school, including Jennie Lynch, Jen Perry, Michelle Conrad, Marcella Krantz, and Michaela Fenochetti. You will all surely be missed!

Our Chelmsford High students, Sophia and Autumn  (Mrs. Karangioze's students) created this wonderful Rainforest Selfie Board!

Getting close-up - in order to write a thoughtful comment about someone's mask.

Such a sweet thing when colleagues take time out of their busy schedules to attend the show and help out!
Mrs. Buckley used student artwork to create a fabulous slide show, which is running in the background.

Here is a still frame of Mrs. Buckley's slide show in which she combined a green screen shot of each student in the forground with their artwork behind them. The lesson was One Point Perspective.

We used 300 slips of positive comment sheets in 2 hours during the show!

Our new HPTO President, Tina
with Brandi, our tireless Harrington volunteers selling baked goods brought in by parent bakers!

Another caring Paraprofessional, Mrs. LaFlamme (not shown, Mrs. Clapp) taking time out of their busy day to attend and assist - in support of our children and our art program!
Mrs Perry and her creative girls! Mrs. Perry has done a fabulous job as our HPTO president in recent years. She's done a great job reaching out to our Harrington Community for volunteers for various events, including this art show! Her youngest daughter will be moving on to Middle School, so we will be missing the whole family! Thank you Jen, for all your steadfast support (and baking skills)!
